March 31, 2014

This week has been full of miracles!!
Sister keeler and I are just in awh about everything! we could not be more blessed!

I hope in this email today I will be able to express to you the feelings I am having and how amazing this week has been and how amazing this work is. My mission thus far has allowed me to increase in my understanding of the eternal perspective. It is amazing. What truly matters in this life is bringing forth the kingdom of God. As we seek the kingdom of God first we will be blessed. Sister Keeler and I had an amazing pillow talk session last night- simply about this life on earth, how these are the last days & things pertaining to that and it was quite revelatory.. haha :). We truly feel on our missions we have a perspective where we feel we are looking on the outside in on the world. We are completely out of the world in our own missionary bubble and with that I feel the veil has just gotten thinner in our understanding in what really matters in life, what our purpose is and how easy it is for others to get off their discourse in returning to Christ. My mission is continuing to change me and has converted me to selfless service in the Lords kingdom on Earth and giving myself to His will and His errand because we are the Lords hands.

Anyway this week was filled with amazing events that I will explain to you quickly!!

So Tuesday we had a lesson with Quincy where we were BOLD! We pleaded with the Spirit to be with us before the lesson (as we were nervous) and the spirit guided our words and pushed us to be bold and lay it down! We taught the restoration and resolved her concerns with God being a man, it was amazing! She understood and committed to read daily to pray and experiment through reading the BOM as that is her convincing evidence! Quincy  is very much aware that it is not a coincidence that we have met her and are teaching her, her husband is actually reading the BOM as well! We had a great lesson with Elise as well in her home around a wood fire, we talked about the atonement alot and she is doing great and was excited to begin stop smoking program on thurs.

So Weds morning President Leavitt gave Sis K and i call and asked if we would like to have dinner with him and Sister leavitt that evening... we were like YES! Weds we got dumped with a storm, it was CRAZY! Sis Keeler and I had a plan to do and contact 10 ppl that morning and we were committed so we left apt at 10 that morn and decided to walk to the grocery stores.  There was no one out the wind was nuts! So we walked and talked to 10 ppl in the grocery store.  Everyone thought we were nuts for walking- we decided to get into the apt and do some inside work.  It was probably best as there was like zero visability on the roads, so for Weds we did alot of inside work.  It was a blessing, near 4 there was actually visability and we could actually see just crazy wind.  We were able to drive slowly to President & Sister Leavitt's house. Its funny this storm there was expected to be no power for a day or two so we had candles and stuff but power never went out. So we had dinner with PL and Sis leavitt, we formulated an email with President that he sent out to Andre, then we visited with them.  I just love the two of them, so blessed to have such amazing mission president who cares so much for us! After dinner because of the horrible roads we stayed at presidents house, we planned to teach a lesson over skype at 8 that night and we could use the skype equipment there.  We stayed and basically had a 1 on 1 training with Sis K and I pres and sis Leavitt about facebook, calling potential and so on, it was so GREAT! We have grown so close to the Leavitts, as we live so near ... sis K and I are just again in ah and feel so blessed.. like seriously why did we get this blessing to be serving here and work so closely with them!! ahhhh!!
So we taught Pam that evening over skype it was amazing!! Seriously Pam is wonderful we hadn't even taught her the restoration yet and she knows its true, she has already told all her friends and family that she is converted to the mormon church, she is an answer to many prayers! In her prayer at the end of the lesson she was like " Heavenly Father I am so grateful really I am just so pumped" haaha it was funny she felt a little embarrassed after her prayer but she said afterward, I didn't know of any other word to use other than pumped haha.

So Thurs we volunteered at the hair salon, which was great nice to see Quincy there! We also served two sisters in the ward, where I cut their hair, one of them is a YW Savannah and Raven. It was great we are truly setting a great example and working with them, every Sat we are going to have basketball hour where we play ball with them and they bring their friends to come play with us.  We will begin and end with prayer and spiritual thought! But we also began the Stop Smoking Program with Elise in a members home it was great.  We told her we would eating nothing but fruits and veggies with her for the week of her doing the program and so we have!

Friday we had a great lesson with Betty and she is still going through financial stress but we are still preparing her for April 19.  We are having dinner with her tonight in a members home. We as well were blessed to begin teaching this lady who is LA member from Raymond, her name is Megan that the elders found later that week.  She moved from BC but knows Sis Keeler’s family.  She wants to come back to church and has a 9 year old daughter named Onika who wants to be baptised, so we began teaching her on Friday as well! Wow such a blessing!
Friday night the Trurro sisters arrived and we had our visit with them the next day.

So Sat we started with a training that sister Keeler and I had over skype with all the sisters in the zone, it was at 9 am for the hour in companion study. We trained them on the things we learnt from Sis B on our visit with her! It was great! I love training and teaching with Sis Keeler we just bounce off one another and are very balanced!! It was really good and we were able to roleplay with the sisters and leave them all with things to focus and work and roleplay on in their companion studies.  Then Sister Christiansen went out and talked to 10 ppl came back to the church, did a bit of her 12 week training then we had a church tour with a girl named Tianna who is 18 years old.  We met her couple weeks ago bus stop contacting and finally were able to teach her!  Turns out her and her sisters bestfriend is a "passionate hard core mormon" in Montreal and she is very interested, we gave her a church tour and had a wonderful first lesson.  She said her sister Skianne is interested and that they both would be at church tomorrow. So we picked her up as a new gator! Afterward we had a "Free Popcorn booth & balloon animal booth" outside of walmart... haha yes you heard me right! Sis meihe can do balloon animals and it was the most perfect idea EVER!! Because it drew in all the young families where parents will do anything for their kids.  We have all these families gathered around the booth which they had to wait at for 15 mins or 10 mins for a balloon because of the line, us missionaries would talk to them for a time sooo prime! So we had alot of great gospel convos where we were able to spread the light of Christ! And we also got two SOLID potentials from it!! It was sooo great! So sis Meihe and I worked with one another for that afternoon afterwards...
We had the Womens Broadcast, president and Sis leavitt actually had an event at their house where all the sisters in the metro and anyone we are teaching could come so we brought Sis Belford with us.  They had refreshments at 8 pm, sis Keeler and I enjoyed our bananas with no ice cream or sweets haha but Pres and sis leavitt got a kick at that, then we all watched the broadcast!  WOW that was AMAZING!! I LOVED when they got the 8 year olds to stand up and sing the song, she hummed it was amazing how quickly they knew the song and started singing it.  I had goose bumps! I loved the video of the older lady that showed her married, with kids, then grandkids, and showed her at the end of her life looking at her prosterity, and smiling after her husband passed.... like that is what life is about and for!! I am going to have like 7 kids one day! Seeing all the cute primary girls and hearing the speakers when president Eyring said the Lord will be bring His children to higher spiritual grounds made me think how the younger generation truly are elect valient spirits in the pre existance that they have been saved for these days for a reason and that these younger daughters of God that are being born and raised in the covenant are going to have strong firm grasp to the gospel it is amazing!! Made me think of Avery talia how they truly are valiant little choice spirits of the Lord.

So Sunday was amazing we had Tianna, Skianne and Pam at church! Pam and her two kids were there, she loves church and so did Skianne and tianna the ward welcomed them! Betty could not come last minute but will next week. We had a dinner apt with Bishop it was amazing, we are totally on the same page with him he was saying to us how he is appreciative of our work. Him and his wife are so young and just remind me of what it would be like and Blake and Linds in the future if he were a bishop they are cool! We had an amazing lesson with Pam Sunday night where we were finally able to teach her the restoration and we committed her to May 10th! Her bday is May 11th and she was like YES that feels so right, she prayed about it in her heart and was like it feels so right, she is seriously on board.  She commented on our facebook page yesterday, we saw it this morning it is amazing haha she committed everyone on facebook to open their hearts to this church! She is stalwart!
We have truly seen miracles brought to pass in this area!  Through faith all things are possible ...  this is the Lords work and we are His hands!
I love you all hope you enjoy another chapter to the novel :)

"We are surrounded by those in need of our attention, our encouragement, our support, our comfort, our kindness. We are the Lords hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children. He is dependent upon each of us" President Monson

Whoo hoo i am stoked for conference! Encourage you all to go into conference with a question!!

Love you so much!!
xoxox
Love,
Sister Pizzey:)

March 17, 2014

Wow this has been a crazy busy week!
So many things have happened in one week it is nuts! But I am just going to begin with telling you all about this week of  highs and lows literally roller-coast week! Missionary work is so fun but can be very stressful this week we were faced with few high stress situations... it is funny to see how our bodies react to stress, like for me literally since Thurs my right eye has been twitching all day spiratically haha.  Nothing to get stressed out about but I am assuming that this is result of anxiety haha for the work, for other missionaries, and well my own personal weaknesses I am working at overcoming. But yes my eye has a twitch every few minutes it is weird.. but I don't think it is very noticeable, it is just something I feel.

So Monday we had a great lesson with Andre at President and Sister Leavitts house.  We taught Andre the law of tithing which was the last big law, I honestly have never met someone as elect as Andre, we were like in the lesson "So the Law of tithing... have you ever heard of tithes?" Andre was like " Oh yes giving 10% of your income, i know that. I will do it. I use to collect the tithes for the Baptist church I use to go to" haha we were just like perfect! He just smooth sailing! He started his new job and things were going great he was excited to be able to attend church as well and be baptised in the next couple weeks!  After the lesson President & Sister Leavitt, Sister Keeler & I all rejoiced with one another at how excited we are about Andre! Then we did some knocking where we knocked into some great potentials!

Tues: We got up early and drove for an hour to Trurro, where a missionary who has been out for a transfer longer then Sis K and I serve and a brand new missionary serve!  The trainer with some issues and SiS Christianson the new missionary is a powerhouse missionary, she came pre trained. She really is the leader in the companionship and the driving force behind alot of the work done there... We were really helped them with planning ... we went over proper planning (aka:back up plans and specific plans).  Sis C soaks everything up like a sponge as trainer was difficult.  She steams in the corner in pridefulness so we just allow her to steam on her own and gave Sis C alot of direction on how to work effectively and prioitize her efforts effectively.  Sis C will take it and go and understands quite quickly and we've learned to leave trainer sister and let her come to us.  So Sis C and I started our day together where she opened up alot and we were able to go street contacting with one another.  It was great because she was able to see how to make it fun and have real conversation with others.  As we were contacting she was so stoked, she was like "wow! I’ve never seen it this way ... I am use to coming up to someone and blasting them for 20 seconds then them saying, “no” then us walking away!" haha  Trainer sister and I served with one another and we were able to have a very open and real conversation as we were knocking door to door.  She is humbling herself more and more and taking baby steps and I am learning to be less scary, patient and have more charity and understanding, all and all it was great exchange! We will probably have them come see how we work in our area and offer them more support and help with the training of Sis C!

Weds: So weds morning we woke up early and headed out to Sydney for the 4 hr drive to get there! So we arrived in Sydney where Sis Weaver a missionary who as been out a transfer less than sis K and I, and Sis Hughes a brand new missionary.  We sat down to go over plans for the day and the same type of planning was made. I was kind of in shock, like really how?!?  But we patiently with charity went over the plans and talked about how to effectively plan, we then went out & worked.  It was a great visit but these sisters are in an area that is so far out from everyone.  There is just 4 elders around them where they are secluded from the elders. They brought up some issues they have observed due to disobedience from the elders so it was a blessing that the ZL's were heading up the following day on their visit with those elders. (inspired!) There was quite a bit of things we could train and help the sisters with up there, so it was a good visit for us to observe and figure out where they are at and how we can help them.  We will be skyping them 1 a week where we have companion studies with one another and we will be having role plays and doing training that way as well as the distance is so far away!

So thurs morning we packed up and headed home in the morning! We arrived at 1 in Cole Harbour just in time to go to our service at the salon, that was good then we had our transfer interview with President Leavitt, then we had a great dinner apt with the Colley Family where they have two daughters in YW's and it was very spirit filled our convo, it sounds like alot of the YW are at cross roads right now where they are making decisions that are instrumental in their activity in the church.  We were able to leave a great message with them, and I was able to open up about my experience of coming back which brought peace to their hearts. Sis K and I left feeling very inspired that we must help the YW and work with them more... which worked out perfectly with what we had planned to teach YW's this Sunday! We also had a lesson with Andre at a members home, since he has been taught everything we had a powerful lesson on the restoration and everyone went around and bore their testimony of the restoration.

Friday we taught Betty, we have been taking a 20 year old with us to alot of our lessons who recently came back to church in October it is really amazing because since she has been teaching with us as of a week ago she has decided to break up with her bf of 3 years, and she is thinking about serving a mission!!! It is amazing! Our lesson with Betty was very Spirit filled.  Betty is truly understanding the gospel line upon line, grace by grace and we were blessed to be able to commit her to pray and prepare for April 29th to be baptised! She is loving attending church and feels a sense of home at church!
Friday night we were knocking a street we had felt inspired to knock for few weeks and we knocked into a  33 yr old who met missionaries in 06 at a time in her life when she was suffering from depression.  She didn't remember much about what they shared but she remembered that it helped her at that time, she let us in right away where we were able to teach her the restoration and commit her to be baptized for April 12th! She loved it and was planning to come to church but was unfortunately sick on Sunday, but we will be seeing her again this Wednesday!

Saturday was a great day, Sis Belford (reactivated LA from new York who has been coming to church weekly now!) has been doing some missionary work in her apt.  She met a man who got in a car accident broke his ankle and recently went through a divorce past years. After teaching her we all walked across the hall and met him, he is in rough shape and turns out he is a member of the church! He has been LA for years, is Anglican now, stopped going to church when his mother got left the church.  He use to have a missionary savings fund, so we were pretty excited to meet him and he is willing to meet with us! He is in his 40s and we will be seeing him this week.
Saturday night at around 10 pm we got quite an upsetting voice mail from Andre, he expressed how he can't attend church no more, can't meet with us or be baptised because his wife will divorce him and he will be kicked out... it was very upsetting, he asked us to not call him.  Of course we called him back though haha he did not answer but we are keeping him in our prayers he is a "spiritual convert".  He is so converted and knows this is true, it just breaks my heart how he has this obstacle.  The poor man re arranged his career to be baptised!! But we are giving it a day and then President Leavitt or Brother Edis (a member who has been teaching with us) may give him a call. I have faith things will work out and that one day he will be a member.

Sunday: Betty was able to come to church for the 3rd week in a row! IT was a great Sunday! We taught YW and the YW LOVE us haha it was funny they all were all giddy and excited! they want us to come to activities but we said only if you bring your friends! We expressed our idea of seeing if Quincy could come do an activity with us and the YW were Quincy and I could teach styling hair or something. The YW were like "We love you two! you two are the best dressed Sister missionaries we have ever seen! You both look so pretty, we normally hate sister missionaries" haha it was funny and fun, a very fashionable group of YW, we love them, they are just hilarious!!  But Sis K and I talked about conversion I shared mine, and then we gave them 10 mins to ask us questions.  Since we have been in this ward a 18yr old YW in gr 12 said she has decided she wants to serve, and she was tearing up in the end she asked us how we decided to finally serve.  I was able to explain how it was very hot then cold for me and how satan will water down our feelings and thoughts of serving because it is something so good to do and how we just have to go forward in faith and do it before we convince ourselves otherwise, she nodded with tears and is very excited to serve!!

We are seeing so many amazing things. On my mission I have really come to see how prominent Satan is, we are literally wrestling in a war with him. The YW told us how they get made fun of for not swearing at school, there is so much in our lives that make us feel it may be easier to throw down the towel and give up this great and marvellous race for our own salvation and the salvation of our brother and sisters. Trust me as a missionary I have seen victory and the feelings of triumph but as soon as that happens satans sends his winds to discourage us and help us to feel useless or to lower our faith. I know we are on the right track when opposition sets in because satan would like to discourse our path of righteousness. We must stand up and never lower our expectations.  This week I did not have an opportunity to personally read the BOM for two days as we had over 15hrs of travelling.  I noticed how without that I was reaching despair and parnoid feelings, and it is because I chose to make myself more subject to satan.  That decision to not take 5 mins to at least read the BOM. These are the last days we can not afford to be casual we need to actively exercise our minds in righteous thoughts or satan will set in and try to pull us away from our divine potential.
I wish I had more time to express my feelings of my heart about this.  I do not have the time, but I really know that Satan would like to discourage me and he has in my life, but I know it is because he knows of our greatness and our ability to do good.  I hope you all take the time this week to recognize where he tries to or does sway you and how you can fight that away and protect yourself in these last days!

I love you all and pray for you all and hope you understand my message I am trying to convey have a great week!!
xoxo
Love Sister Pizzey :)

March 24, 2014

Okay well lets begin with this week of miraculous blessings!
SO Monday night we taught a chinese guy at the church the lesson was good but we did not pick him up as a new investigator, then we  had FHE at the Edis's house where we taught their daughter Katy the lesson we taught to the YW at church no Sunday as Katy was not there... and the great thing about it was that there was a part member family there the dad was a non member so we were able to get to know that family and teach their daughter as well whose name is Katy was well! It was a great lesson and alot of trust gained from the members!!
tues: we had district training which was great things have dramatically changed in our district from what they were like a transfer ago it is great! Then Sis Broadhead arrived in our area and worked with us from tues till thurs morning it was great! She was able to train us on alot of fantastic approaches with store contacting and even street contacting it was a very humbling expierence!
Weds: We did alot of street contacting, we were able to pick up a new investigator whose name is James he is 23 and work in the military, we drove to Dartmouth and went and street contacted at NSCC at the college there which was a genius idea from Sis B! We also taught Elise (our gator on date for April 26) We had a great lesson with her and she actually has been thinking about how she would like to quit smoking before she met us and she was just like but I need support and someone strengthening in my life to be able to do so...then BOOM we met her! We will be doing the stop smoking program with Elise this week! We also had a wonderful relief society activity with both Cole Harbour and Dartmouth wards weds night and Sis Bush (member from kentville was there) and she it was so nice to see her! She gave me a hug and filled me in on how Jordan has been blessing the sacrament for the past two weeks so exciting!! Betty our investigator was able to attend the RS activity as well it was great! Weds before the activity we had a great lesson with Betty where we moved her baptismal date forward, we had a great member with us who testified of baptism and the cleasing effect of it. We moved Betty's date forward from April 29 to April 19th! We had a great lesson about Plan of Salvation! Betty just wants to go to the temple so bad...It was a POWERFUL lesson.... something that is quite amazing she has been seperated from her husband for years but never divorced, and as she has been meeting with us they have begun talking again.  He has started attending church, he lives in the Valley so about 2hrs away.  It turns out she and him years ago when their kids were young use to meet with missionaries and that they always tried to get them to come to church! She mentioned how her husbanded mentioned how they should of listened to the missioanries years ago! CRAZY!! He is coming up here this week and we are planning to be teaching him!
thurs: We  had a great day, it was a raining day though pouring outside we were able to talk to many people and we really right now are trying to work on the approach on softening the hearts of the people in this community as the hearts are quite hard... and at times can be alittle discouraging. So we are taking the approach at volunteering with other churches in the community to help out in serving the people in this area.  We are looking into attending community events and just helping people see mormon missionaries in a different light.  So we are doing all we can to ask people around about those opportunites which has led to great conversations with many people, we have found as we open the conversation up with a question... asking about volunteer work people are much more open to talk... then we build a relationship and BOOM we can transition very easily and before they know it we are talking about the gospel and resolving their concerns.
So thurs night we had an amazing lesson with Kaylene (19yr old with same past as me but as not lived at home for 5 years) We read from the BOM in Alma 32 all about faith the Spirit was very strong! it is basically like teaching a non member to her, her knowledge of the gospel is very limited but she asks a lot of great questions! the BOM has such great power no way that it is not from God, as soon as we read the Spirit just fills the room and we can see enlightenment happening as the Spirit teaches to Kaylene and guides us in our words! It is amazing! No book can bring an man closer to God than the Book of Mormon!
We as well had a great lesson with Sis Belford! She is preparing to go to the temple again and is meeting with the Biship!!
So friday was a great day we weekly planned then we correlated with the elders.  We set a goal with the elders from now until the end of next transfer, it was quite a powerful expierence.  So we all decided to leave the meeting with fasting about and for the next day to seek confirmation about the goal.
That night we knocked and started teaching a LA couple who hadn't been to church in 20years but have the desire to come back as well!  We had a great lesson with betty as well where Brother and Sister Kidd (Breanne and Jordan you know them and they are freaking awesome I love that couple!!) they taught with us, we talked about temple sealing and many things from spirit world to kingdoms of glory, Betty is set and ready to go !! We have seen many prayers answered and blessings from Heavenly Father as we have been teaching her! It is amazing!!
So Sat morning Sis Keeler and I attended the temple as we get to go 1 per transfer all missionaries go week 6 usually but we don't like to go then because then it is like a small missioanry reunion so we decided to go in the middle of the trans. It was great time as were fasting for our goal we made with the elders.  We both pleaded in prayer for a miracle together that day in the temple- and we promised to give to the Lord a good attitude faith and hard work!
So we left the temple and went to work and boy oh boy we just were getting shut down left right and centre that whole day, it was crazy! Very apparent it was Satan trying to discourage as Heavenly Father was preparing a great work for us. So we continued to keep our heads up inviting and moving forward with as much faith as we had, the whole day was hard. On our drive home that evening  at about 8:55 pm we recieved a call from President Kidd (elders qourm president) and he informed us how we went and gave a blessing to a sister who called him who was from Sydney for a priesthood blessing  as she had just miscarried that day and lost her husband in December and as he gave her one. So he went to her friends house that she was staying at in Eastern Passage gave her a blessing as her friend was sitting in and at the end he asked this dear sister if she would like a ride to church as he invited her her non member friend said "could me and my kids come as well? I have seen such a remarkable change in her and how the church has changed her and helped her through all these challenges.  She said, “I feel it would be good for me to look into this".  resident Kidd was like yes of course!! So he called us jumping for excitement! and Sis Keeler and I were like "president Kidd you have no idea we prayed for a miracle today!! this is the miracle!!"
Sunday: Elise Betty and Pam( the friend of Florence) were all at church it was amazing!! Betty is like a member at church is was her 4th Sunday in a row and everyone loves her! Elise enjoyed church and will be back next week and Pam did as well but had lots of questions! So we set up a time for us to go teaching Pam that evening with Pres Kidd.... and wow let me tell you we had an AMAZING lesson! We sat down well to tell you the truth the Spirit guided us that I can't even tell you what was said! But we opened up in a scripture after her talking about an expierence she once had when her grandfather passed away.  We flipped to a scripture in the BOM and asked her to read 2 Nephi 32:3 and as soon as she read the first word "Angels" she started crying and was like "Why am I crying?!?" It was amazing we sat there and let the spirit be felt and then after moments of silence we explained "Pam this is the Spirit that bears witness to truth" It was amazing. It was truly a lesson where we taught by the Spirit and she truly did recieve by the Spirit! Afterwards we rejoiced with pres Kidd!  Prior to that lesson we picked up a mother with two kids and we will be teaching her and her husband this week as well! We will be seeing Pam tomorrow as well. It is amaizng Florence the member who is Pams friend has been through so much ..., Florence truly is an example to her friend Pam from what Jesus Christs words is speaking about in 3 Nephi 12: 16 !
It has been a rejoicing and exciting week! A humbling one as well! I have noticed that our attitude is really the outcome! Half way throughout the week I realized I have had some negative thoughts in my mind and I decided to change my mind and I realzied as you change your mind there will be your heart also!  I realized that my changing my mind my heart changed and is capable of having trust and faith in the Lord! Works without faith is truly dead!
This week has been amazing, miracles are happening here in Nova Scotia all throughout the zone! The Elders are seeing miracles! It is all according to our faith brother and sisters!

I love you very much and have a great week!
Love Sister Pizzey
xoxo.

March 16, 2014 - Boy oh boy a busy week!

boy oh boy a busy week!

Wow this has been a crazy busy week!
So many things have happened in one week it is nuts! But I am just going to begin with telling you all about this week of  highs and lows literally roller-coaster week! Missionary work is so fun but can be very stressful this week we were faced with few high stress situations... it is funny to see how our bodies react to stress like for me literally since Thurs my right eye has been twitching all day sporatically haha nothing to get stressed out about but I am assuming that this is result of anxiety haha for the work, for other missionaries, and well my own personal weaknesses I am working at overcoming. But yes my eye has a twitch every few minutes it is weird.. but I don't think it is very noticeable it is just something I feel.

So Monday we had a great lesson with Andre at President and Sister Leavitts house we taught Andre the law of tithing which was the last big law, I honestly have never met someone as elect as Andre, we were like in the lesson "So the Law of tithing... have you ever heard of tithes?" Andre was like " Oh yes giving 10% of your income, i know that.

Tues: We got up early and drove for an hour to Truro, where a missionary who has been out for a transfer longer then Sis K and I, and a brand new missionary serve together! There were some struggles going on, mostly had to help with with planning.  So we went over proper planning (aka:back up plans and specific plans) really surprised me how they planned, I was like what?!? How do you work like this !??! in my mind. I love directing visits with Sis K, we are in the same page. We separated Sis K and I and did some street contacting with these sisters.  It was great because she was able to see how to make it fun, genuine and real conversation with others, as we were contacting she was so stoked.  She was like "wow! I've never seen it this way.  I am use to coming up to someone and blasting them for 20 seconds, then them saying no, then us walking away!" haha I was like yes, as you aren't a robot people are more inclined to want to listen and understand the importance of our message.  We had a blast with one another and rejoiced in our learning with one another. We will probably have them come see how we work in our area, week 5 of this transfer.  It will help Sis C feelings, she is stressed in not being trained properly!

Weds: So weds morning we woke up early and headed out to Sydney for the 4 hr drive to get there!  We met with these sisters, we started by going over  plans for the day and the same type of planning was made. I was kind of in shock like really how?!? But we patiently with charity went over the plans and talked about how to effectively plan, we then went out & worked.  It was a great visit, these sisters are so far out from everyone in the area.  We will be skyping them once a week where we have companion studies with one another and we will be having roleplays and doing training that way as well, as the distance is so far away!

So Thurs morning we packed up and headed home in the morning! We arrived at 1 in Cole Harbour just in time to go to our service at the salon, that was good, then we had our transfer interview with President Leavitt, then we had a great dinner apt with the Colley Family where they have two daughters in YW's and it was very spirit filled convo.  It sounds like alot of the YW are at cross roads right now where they are making decisions that are instrumental in their activity in the church.

Friday we taught Betty, we have been taking a 20 year old with us to alot of our lessons who recently came back to church in October.  It is really amazing because since she has been teaching with us as of a week ago, she has decided to break up with her bf of 3 years, and she is thinking about serving a mission!!! It is amazing! Our lesson with Betty was very Spirit filled.  Betty is truly understanding the gospel line upon line , grace by grace and we were blessed to be able to commit her to pray and prepare for April 29th to be baptised! She is loving attending church and feels a sense of home at church!
Friday night we were knocking a street we had felt inspired to knock for few weeks and we knocked into a 33 yr old who met missionaries in 06 at a time in her life when she was suffering from depression.  She didn't remember much about what they shared but she remembered that it helped her at that time, she let us in right away where we were able to teach her the restoration! She loved it and was planning to come to church but was unfortunately sick on Sunday, we will be seeing her again this Wednesday!

Saturday was a great day, Sis Belford (reactivated LA from new York who has been coming to church weekly now!) has been doing some missionary work in her apt.  She met a man who broke his ankle in a car accident and recently went through a divorce.  After teaching her we all walked across the hall and met him, he is in rough shape and turns out is a memeber of the church! He has been LA for years, is Anglican now, stopped going to church for some bad feelings about an issue.
Of course we called him back though haha he did not answer but we are keeping him in our prayers he is a "spiritual convert" he is so converted and knows this is true.  It just breaks my heart how he has this obstacle, like the poor man rearranged his career to be baptised!!

They want us to come to activities, but we said only if you bring your friends! We expressed our idea of seeing if Quincy could come do an activity with us and the YW said maybe Quincy and I could teach styling hair or something. The YW were like "We love you two!  You two are the best dressed Sister missionaries we have ever seen! You both look so pretty, we normally hate sister missionaries" haha it was funny they are a fun dramatic group of YW with their tight pencil skirts and their high high heals, they wobble on, we love them though they are just hilarious!! But Sis K and I talked about conversion I shared mine, and then we gave them 10 mins to ask us questions.  Since we have been in this ward an 18yr old YW in gr 12 said she has decided she wants to serve, and she was tearing up in the end she asked us how we decided to finally serve.

The YW told us how they get made fun of for not swearing at school, there is so much in our lives that make us feel it may be easier to through down the towel and give up this great and marvellous race for our own salvation and the salvation of our brother and sisters. Trust me as I missionary I have seen victory and the feelings of triumph but as soon as that happens satans sends his winds to discourage us and help us to feel useless or to lower our faith. I know we are on the right track when opposition sets in because satan would like to discourse our path of righteousness. We must stand up and never lower our expectations this week I did not have an opportunity to personally read the BOM for two days as we had over 15hrs of travelling.  I noticed how without that I was reaching dispare and paranoid feelings, and it is because I chose to make myself more subject to satan but that decision to not take 5 mins to at least read the BOM. These are the last days we can not afford to be casual, we need to actively exercise our minds in righteous thoughts or satan will set in and try to pull as away from our divine potential.
I wish I had more time to express my feelings of my heart about this I do not have the time, but I really know that Satan would like to discourage me and he has in my life, but I know it is because he knows of our greatness and our ability to do good. I hope you all take the time this week to recognize where he tries to or does sway you and how you can fight that away and protect yourself in these last days!

I love you all and pray for you all and hope you understand my message I am trying to convey have a great week!!
xoxo
Love Sister Pizzey :)

March 10, 2014 - Pics

Together for training!

Hair cutting time, good by pony tail, Sis. Starkie!

March 10, 2014

Hello so it has been a good week! I don't have much time but I will do my best to keep you up-to-date about things here out on the east coast!!
Many wonderful things have happened this week and we have been very busy doing many things! We will be going to Trurro for our visit with the sisters there tomorrow we will have to leave at 6:45 am to arrive there before studies so we can study with them, and then on Wednesday morning it will be another early morning where we will get in to Sydney at 11 to work with the sisters there!  Sydney is in Cape Breton and is 5 hours away from Cole Harbour and Trurro is 45 mins ish away from us!  It is going to be a busy and another crazy quick week!! We will be back in our area on thurs and because of little time in our area we will be ending preparation day early today! But sacrifice brings forth the blessings from heaven!!
Oh yes and not to mention we are driving a red dodge mini van... well I am driving a mini van haha it is great!! We call it Clifford well throughout the mission it is known as clifford, but man I am sold on mini vans! It is great! haha.  Thought you all would get a kick out of that!
SO monday night we taught family home evening, it was great, about 25 of the empty nesters in our ward was there.  We talked about patience and read in the BOM of examples of patience, it was really great they loved it and Sister Belford (LA we are teaching) was there and another LA as well! The Spirit prompted me to share about my conversion and how it required much patience on my parents end and how because of the faithfulness and patience of my parents their prayers were answered and Heavenly Father took care of it all! It was very powerful and I felt really good sharing that with all these amazing members in this ward, where many of them have children who have strayed and aren't members.
Then we went and seen Andre that evening and through fasting and prayer he recieved a call back from a job that he handed a resume into months ago!! Such a blessing!! Really was amazing to see how much he is showing his faith by searching for a new job so he can attend church and be baptised! Really showed how Heavenly Father will help us if we show him our faith by our works!! So we were excited to hear about that, but he is experiencing some other stress right now ...  we talked to him about a priesthood blessing and he was very keen and fond of that idea- so we set up a time for the following day on tuesday to teach him at the church and have him recieve a priesthood blessing!
So this would lead us to talk about Tuesday now! We had a great lunch appointment with two families in our ward.  In one setting it was great, we were able to commit them to have 3 gospel conversations in this month! Davis Pedeswa (he says he knows Breanne from YSA in Edmonton he is from Ontario in Bishopric and he knows Ben (as in B's ex bf)... haha ) But it was well and then we had our lesson with Andre afterwards where we had two couples attend from the ward, it was a very powerful lesson we taught about baptism, Holy Ghost & enduring to the end.  The Spirit was quite strong this lesson is one of the top Spiritual powerful lessons on my mission for sure, afterward he recieved a beautiful priesthood blessing.  It was amazing. Andre is just so prepared and I never have met someone that is just grasping the gospel as he is and is so ready and excited to make covenants with God and just do what is right- he has just true intent and has been  looking for this all this life, "seeking to and fro and knew not where to find it."  We will be teaching Andre tonight at President and Sister Leavitts house!
We also had a dinner at a members house which one of the daughters is in Gr 12- she reminds me of how I was in that grade just very much caught up on temperal things and hair and such haha she wants to serve a mission because she thinks that sister Keeler and I are "cool missionaries" and it looks "fun" haha it was funny talking with her; majority of the dinner she was on her phone talking about her bf... haha Sis Keeler and I got in our VAN afterwards and couldn't help but to chuckle just because of the worldliness and how grateful we are to have a different perspective and attitude about life, like she is wonderful YW and don't get me wrong I probably was alot worse then her.  Then we taught SISTA QUINCY! Our ghetto hairstylist it went well, she had a some difference of opions about how we believe God is a man, so we are coming back tonight, but we talked with the institute teacher here who is so amazing just a wiz at undersanding the gospel and he helped us know of a better way we can help her understand that principle.
We were knocking as well that evening and we were able to find a potencial mom and her bf and children that we anticipate to be teaching this week!
Weds: We had zone conference which went great! There were 3 missionaries who are going home this transfer Sis Broadhead being one of them, and they all bore very powerful testimonies.  One of elders mother passed away 1 month ago.  Him and his mother were the only active in their family quite sad, but very inspiring to see how his mother and himself knew how important it is for him to be out serving! Then in the evening we had Sis Weaver with us as she travelled from Sydney to zone conference and was waiting for her new companion (Sister Hughes) to arrive from the MTC as Sis Hughes had to stay in the MTC for few extra days due to kidney stones!  So Sis Weaver came to a lesson with us, we taught Betty where our Bishop attended and it was really great!  Our Bishop is so awesome! He actually met with Betty the next day where he helped her with some welfare things she is in need of.  Then President Leavit called us around 8:30 pm after that lesson and because Sis Leavitt was quite tired that evening he had asked us to go pick up Sister Hughes from the airport! haha. So in Clifford the van we headed over to the airport and greeted Sis Hughes at the gates! It was so weird! I felt like I was just walking off of those stairs and being greated by President Leavitt! So we met her there and then we drove to the mission home and visited a few minutes then SiS K and I headed back to plan and prepare for our next day! It was so fun to meet SiS Hughes though, she is very cute and excited to be a missionary she is from Alaska and just ready to work! Her and Sis W will do great things in Sydney, we are excited for our visit with them this week!

Thurs: We had alot of planning to do, and meetings, we volunteered in the hair salon as well which was great! then at 7:40pm we headed out to the 1.5 hr drive to New Glasgow.
Friday: We had our visits! ANd it was great! The sisters are doing so well! They had a baptism this week! SIS curtis who has been out for a transfer has really come out of her shell and is so much for confident, I just love her and it was so exciting to see! They aren't confident with street contacting so Sister Curtis and I walked to downtown New Glasgow.  We had half hour, we set a goal to talk to 20 people and when we had to head back for lunch ... we had 7 people left, Sis C was like YES WE ARE GOING TO TALK TO 7 PPL & GET 2 POTENCIALS! I was like ya sister!! So we did and we got two great potencials! We were splitting up talking to people and she was going after people it was so great to see and she was very excited! We had a great visit with them, and because of appointments at 8 we slept the night and got up early Sat monring to travel back to our area so we could be back in our area for the whole day!
Saturday: We had alot of finding and contacting referrals to do, and we also had dinner with a LA family.  They have two daughters, one our age, who is coming back and we took her to our lesson with Betty that evening! We had planned to teach Betty the Plan of Salvation, and it was an interesting lesson.  Betty was not really focused and she was bringing up her sorrow from her ex fiance leaving her,  It was a bit of a frustrating lesson because SIS K and I just felt it did not flow smoothly or atleast the way we expected it to, but little did we know as we got back in our van with (LA girl) opened up and was just like that lesson was for me! I felt the Spirit sooo strongly and I loved it, she said the words we were saying just spoke to her and made her realize so much about how her ex bf of 3 yrs does not need to be in her life! She was so happy and she even is considering serving a mission now because of how she felt. Sis K and I were just like wide eyed amazed! SO yes we are going to be taking her with us to lessons more!!
But it was a great week and I can't wait for this week! I love being here everyday SIS K and I are in awe at how blessed we are to be here on our missions! These are the last days, we are wrestling with Satan for saving salvation of the souls of men it is so clear! and I am so grateful to be aware of this and be working with Heavenly Father in finding His children and bringing them back to the fold.  Everyday I am so full of gratitude towards our Saviour what he has done and because of Him I am able to have these miraclous blessing in my life & in the lives of others.
I know this gospel to be true, I know this is the Lords work, I know there is no other way to salvation than through Christ and His plan that he has layed out for us in this HIS Restored Gospel in these last days, now is the time. THESE are the days to rescue others, open our mouths and become disciples of Christ.
I know these things to be true, and anyone else can if they are simply humble enough.
I am so grateful to have my heart not set on the world and set on our Savoir Jesus Christ. I would love to encourage anyone who hasn't to do yourself a favor and give your heart to Him our Savior Jesus Christ- and be changed through Him. Because this is what we planned to be & do before we came here.
Also I cut like 6 inches of SiS Keeler hair like 7 inches at least of Sis Starkies hair it looks great! SIS K's hair was hard to cut, she has a hair like a horse, so thick but it looks great!!
I LOVE you all, thank you for your prayers and support, I pray and love you all very much!!
xoxox
Love SiSter Pizzey :)

March 3, 2014 - Two years ago today ....

So lets look back to two years ago from today!!
I chose to come back to church! I am just filled with so much joy today and happiness as I look back and think of how blessed I am to have the gospel in my life.
I am so grateful to be serving a mission, at this time President Leavitt talks about how this is a time never to be forgotten never again will there be this many missionaries serving, never again will there be a time such as now, it is truly amazing and I do not know what I have done to have the blessing of being a missionary after all i have done in the past.
I just remember two years ago choosing to hang out with Blake and his friends and receiving that priesthood blessing that night because I knew I needed one to ensure I would act on the prompting to go back to church.
My heart is so full and I thank you for your prayers parents and faithfulness it is a miracle that I am here on a mission and a miracle that I am able to receive the blessings of the restored gospel in my own life and help others have this in their lives as well.
I know these miraculous things have happened because the Lord has work for me to do and I am going to labour in the vineyard with all my might!
I love you very much and am just so thankful
Love me!

March 3 - A week of miraculous adventures! :)

Wow wow wowee this week was amazing!!! This is the Lords work everyone! I know it and God knows it!
(On a side note; two years ago today I had a change of heart ...)

So when you serve in the metro and it is transfer week it is nuts, we had Sister Meihe with us till Thursday then she left to her new area with her companion, then we had Sister Ward and Sister Turner with us Weds, Sis Turner left  to Newbrunswick then Sis ward and her bran new MTC companion Sister Dohnelly with us from Thurs to Sat morning because their apartment in Bridgewater was not ready for them till then. So it was a stretch to have so many people in our area; and Sis Keeler and I just love serving with one another and we are just pretty excited to be back to work and have this area with just us two haha. But it was great, required stretching and we saw a lot of wonderful things with the sisters here; but from Saturday till yesterday we saw miracles I tell ya! We picked up 7 new investigators in those two days! and just WOW is all I can say about how we found these people, I am so excited to share with you the details of this week!!

So Monday we had a dinner with a family in the ward, and they actually had a non member family a single mom and her two daughters. We taught them about the Book of Mormon and were able to have brother and sister misner share their testimonies! We picked up her as an investigator and will be seeing her this week! Then Tuesday we went to go stop by Andre's house and we met his wife!! She is wonderful and we will hopefully be teaching her this week! Andre will not be getting baptized this week because of his work, he can not get work off; he is still searching for new jobs so he can attend church and progress in the gospel but things are still going good with him! Tues nigt we had a STL skype call and we found out Sis Broadhead (use to be my STL 30yr old from Cardston tank show missionary) has extended her mission for this transfer and for her last transfer she will be a travelling sister training leader so she literally will be travelling around the mission going on two day visits with the STL's in the mission.  She is currently now serving in Halifax but partially pretty well as she will be out of her area so much, so her and I may be travelling week 4 of this transfer to go train the sisters in Mongton and train and learn from them! Sis Keeler and I are so excited for her to come work with us!

We went to the temple Weds morning and WOW that was amazing...Then we went that evening and took all the new 8 sisters street contacting down town Halifax with the assistants and the STL's in Nova Scotia South zone and that was wonderful, we all split up.  Sis Lund and I a new sister went street contacting she was terrified but we actually found a new investigator for the assitants (as he lives in their area) together which was pretty exciting! Then Sis K and I and the 3 other sister which were working with us went and worked in our area, Sis Turner and I worked with one another she is a great sister missioanry who came out in Sept, she was in St. Johns and now is in Fredicton.  Her and I had a great old time with one another!

So due to short time I am just going to skip to Saturday but from Weds to Sat, we had great days it was wonderful but Saturday is where the magic happens!!
So Saturday we taught Heidi another single mother who was a referral from members in the ward, and she has cousins that are members from edmonton! We had a great first lesson with her and her daughter loves coming to our church! She was going to come on Sunday but they were sick so we will be seeing her again this week.  Then we had a hot chocolate booth; before the booth we prayed and pleaded asking Heavenly Father to place the people we needed to meet in our path ... so we met 3 LAs, a La who was actually from Raymond Albeta and Sis Keeler knew all of her family that have been La for years, we met Michael a potential  investigator and his son, and we also met Brother Macdonalds--> (LA we are working with) we met his non member wife! and also had some amazing gospel conversations with few other people.... like what are the chances?!? We were extactic and that was all within an hour!!
So after the hot chocolate booth we went and picked up Jessica Edis a member from this awesome family in the ward that we have grown very close with, and we went to a lesson with a family that the elders knocked into.  They said they love sister missionaries so we went instead of the elders, and WOW this family is amazing!!! Susan Paul Jennifer and Paul the Magrath family - let me tell you this ... so they met with sisters 4 years ago but the sisters got doubled out so they never heard from the missionaries no more, but as well when their 11 yr old daughter was 8 they attended a baptism at our church for her friend, and now  they left their church 1 year a go and are looking for a church where their kids can learn.  It truly was amazing to see the seeds planted from these faithful sisters and member and we were truly reaping what they were sowing.  SO we had such an amazing lesson, we picked them all up as new investigators and will be seeing them again this week, they are so SO ELECT! Truly was a lesson described in D&C 50:21-22,  when Jessica and us all got in the car after the lesson we all just screamed literally full of excitement and happiness!! Ahhh these truly are the days NEVER to be forgotten.

So sunday morning we had a skype call with the whole zone and the zone leaders are just on top of everything now it is amazing and so exciting.  We are all on the same page now and just ready to work our very hardest. So we had a skype call where we set out expectations for the whole zone, the ZL's asked Sis K and I to teach to the zone about vision goal and planning cycle.  We explained that and commited the zone to all make one for their areas for this transfer, was bit nerveracking but the Spirit guided us in what to say in that one! But afterwards we were studying and Betty our investigator called us at 10:45 (church startsa t 11:30) and was like I would like to come to church today!! We were under the impression prior too that she did not want to come, we francticly found her a ride and Betty came to church!!
It was testimony meeting and a rather bold sarcastic funny member of the ward whom we had taught a lesson in his home that week and have been able to get to know him lately; got up in fast in testimony meeting and rebuked the ward because of no one was getting up to bear their testimony.  He said "I have a friend Betty who i promised this morning she would love church for her first time and well how is she going to if know if no one comes up", and then he continued to talk about our lesson we had at his house.  He said "and we had a great lesson and our house and Sister Pushy (referring to me haha) shared a sweet testimony in our home" haha it was funny but I literally have 8 minutes left and can't explain his testimony in more detail but it was very funny and the ward got up and bore their testimonies but he called me sister pushy over the pulpit! haha.
So Sunday night we were knocking on a street that we have felt inspired to knock for couple weeks and we finally had time to do so; so we were knocking and we kncoked into Sista Quincy! She is a hairstylist who is ghetto black momma haha that works at the salon we volunteer at.  Her daughter opened the door and I saw her in the background and was like "Sista Quincy?!?" haha it was sooo amazing she had us in her home, we came to understand that she had her mother and mother in law pass away in the past month.  She has a strong strong faith in god, we taught an amazing lesson and well we will be teaching her this tuesday! Like what are the chances!? Seriously if this ain't the lords work I don't know what is?!? No one can deny this!!

We have seen miracles happen this week, we are seeing this area flourish and seeing the fruit of the effort; this is all from Heavenly Father because this is His work. I praise in rejoice in God and His plan and purposes for us! I felt like Ammon this morning as Ammon states in Alma 26!

It is an amazing day to be a missioanry and I am so thankful!!

I love you all and thank you for your prayers I pray for you and the Low family as well, I am so sorry to hear for their trial at this moment!
Love Sister Pizzey xoxox

February 24, 2013

here is a great mormon message I feel is so important for  our world today. I totally use to be like the people in this video and I am so grateful for my mission and how much my eyes have been opened from this and how important it is to put the technology down if it is not enhancing our inviting the Spirit and spend I time more worthwhile.

I recieved that braclet this week and I LOVE it! It makes me think how much of a blessing it is in our lives to have our eternal family how blessed our WE!! <3

So YES I am staying in the Cole Harbour ward with Sis Keeler i am soooo happy!! This week has been a crazy busy week and a lot has happened in so little time!  Sis Leavey she was serving in Dartmouth, Blake and Lindsay met her in Newfoundland went home after being out 1 year.  She had to leave home because she was very sick, so her companion Sis Meihe has been serving with us since Thurs and Sis Meihe will be going to Truro this Thurs to open the sisters area there and train a new sister missionary.  It was sad to see Sis L go, but good as well as she really was suffering. Being a Sister training leader I have learnt soooooooooo so soooooooo many things, you have absolutely no idea, words can not even describe. I am so grateful for all that I have learnt, but to say the things I have learnt quite simply would be to love, have charity and serve others serve serve serve and love!  I have learnt alot about humility and caring less about me and more about others- putting others first, calming down and not jumping the gun on things, listening more and talking less. I love this past transfer I truly have come to see some deep weaknesses in myself ...  I love missions because you go through the "pride cycle" so much and you really come to understand that as you grow closer to Christ our weaknesses will be shown Ether 12:27.
I am so grateful for all I am learning I can honestly say without these expierences I would not be half of who I am becoming without them- every moment I am just in ah and think in my mind "why? why am I so blessed and lucky to be having these expierences and on a mission and serving at a time such as this in this freaking absolutely fantastic mission!?! like why? why me?!? " Every sacrifice that is required with the Lord we truly are blessed 10 fold.
:)

So this week well lets begin on it!

So we are just seeing the most dersastic changes in this "COOL Harbour" ward.... that is what Sis Keeler and I call it and last week a member quoted us for saying it over the pulpit in sacrament haha. But it is unreal!! Every Sunday ward is just happier and happier or it appears that way! They are dishing out wonderful referrals left right and centre! And beginning to soak up our efforts with them it is really nice to see! They are offering to have our investigators to be taught in their home and just so excited about our volunteering opportunities we are doing! We just got an amazing new ward missionleader who is on fire as well! One of the elders in our ward is being transferred out, he is just ready to go and we are not sad to see that! haha sounds harsh but reality of it. We will be having a new zone leader replace him and he is just amazing he was a district leader in New Glasgow and we worked with him as we are sister training leaders for the sisters in his district and he is exactly what this ward and zone needs, so we are stoked and ready to tare things up here!! He is an intense missionary and that is what i like haha... I just really appreciate, respect, admire, look up to missionaries and people that understand the importance and magnitude of this work and how this is the Lords work we are His work, and we are working with Him and that it should not be taken with frivolty...

So Tuesday we were able to teach Andre at President Leavitt's house we taught him 10 commandments and Law of Chasity it was a great lesson and one where talked about in D&C 50:verse 20 or something... "Taught by the Spirit and he recieved by the spirit and we all rejoiced one with another!" It was great and President and Sister Leavitt think he is great, we were able to talk about the lesson afterward and Sis K and I were able to walk away with alot that we learned on how we can improve!! it was great! We had a great District training as well!

Weds: We had mission leadership training as well which was great I learnt so much and realized quite a few areas where I feel I need to improve in! Then Weds evening we had a our visit with New Glasgow it went great! I was with Sis Curtis this that evening who has been out 1 transfer and she is just the most humble christ like kind shy person.  I felt so much love for her and we had a blast, she lacks confidence so everything she did I just praised and helped her recognize how great of a missionary she is! I felt bad for her i just wanted to squeeze her.  She was experiencing some things with her companion. I encouraged her to be more open and ...we had a blast! the next morning I was with her comp., we volunteered at the hairsalon and taught a lesson with eachother. It was good!

We started teaching two new investigators this week the ball is rolling quite well here! Amazing to see how the Lord works we met the 2nd gator in the lesson with Latisha the first gator we found and her name is Emily we really feel we just found Latisha to meet emily. They are both 17 Latisha just turned 17 and has a 4 mnth old.... and Emily is just very elect and has family that are members in Ontario and a bestfriend in Montreal that is mormon, Emily has actually looked on mormon, org! We taught Emily last night for the 2nd time with sister in the YW presidency in the ward.

Saturday we had a sykpe with the Sydney sisters where we trained them because they live like 5 hrs away that was great, with did that at President Leavitts house.
We had a nice chat with President Leavitt afterwards, I asked him for a priesthood blessing where I was able to have a good 45 min talk with him. I got sick this week (did not take away from the work though)  so mainly that was the reason why I asked for one but as well I was just kind of beating myself up about some of the weaknesses I have been recognzing in myself; we had a great talk where I feel really good about the direction I am going and how I can master goal setting and continueing to progress forward grace by grace, he felt the devils tool for me is to have me feel too down on myself and discourage myself by making me think I am incapable... so true.  Pres. Leavitt gave me great advice and instruction as always.
But I literally have 3 mins left to write, sorry for short details of this week just know that I am loving my mission having a great time and am so happy to be serving here in this ward with the sisters in this zone, I can't wait to what is unfolded and this work is so inpsired I am so greatful for the Leavitt's and all they do, I feel so blessed to be here just so inpsired! I don't think words can describe my feelings haha.
But I love you all and have a great week!!
